My Journey Toward Inner Health
I struggled for years with chronic joint pain, insomnia, fatigue, shallow breathing, and digestive issues (namely reflux and gastroparesis). I had tried everything to from conventional medicine to chiropractic treatment. It wasn’t until my voice started to weaken that I discovered the power of inner fitness. My internal training began with vocal exercises. I have always been a singer, but I’d never trained properly.
When I finally started training my voice in 2013, I realized that my inner musculature needed to be exercised everyday to see improvements. These improvements pushed me to scour YouTube and the internet for more exercises that targeted inner musculature. I put to practice all kinds of techniques and compiled the videos I’ve found to be most effective on this website. I also began to create my own exercises and routines based off of what I’d learned. Humming Guts Fitness was born. My original creations can be found in the “workout videos” section of this website.
Through regular Humming Guts practices, I have attained almost total freedom from reflux and gastro issues. I am able to calm myself with deeper breathing. I sleep better, sing better and my aches and pains have become more manageable.I accept the reality that my body will never function perfectly. I will eventually age and die. Until then, I will be working out my insides to keep my guts humming.
